I’m not one for quotes, especially from books, but there are some exceptions. Here is (possibly) my favorite:
The city seen from the Queensboro Bridge is always the city seen for the first time, in its wild promise of all the mystery and the beauty of the world.
Taken from F. Scott Fitzgerald masterpiece The Great Gatsby, it is as true now as it is when it was first written. Driving over the QB bridge, especially at night, always give me a buzz, and makes me feel excited about the promise of the future.
I’m writing this on the tarmac, heading off to LaGuardia for five days in NYC. I’m going to be going over the QB soon!
