Blog Post #27: Crested Butte

Ky and I are in Crested Butte for her birthday, and we’re LOVING it. CB is about 4 hours away from Denver, so not a day trip, but absolutely worthwhile for a long weekend.

It’s amazing here. The skiing is fun, but the town itself is what separates it from the rest. Super cute, friendly, great food and beers at 1980’s prices.

We have been fortunate to travel to a fair few places in the States, but it’s always worthwhile checking out your backyard.

The highlight so far was the ricotta and sourdough we had last night at a place called the Breadery. Creating a restaurant focused on bread is a risk, but they nailed it, and we will back again.

Enjoy the photos!

OMG, my kind of restaurant! I can put away a whole loaf of sourdough, lavishly slathered in lightly salted butter (preferably French) in one sitting. Sounds like my sort of people.
