The last six months or so Ky and I have been grinding French on DuoLingo. It is fair to say our heart hasn’t really been in it.
So last night, we decided to pivot to Portuguese. Why, or por que, you may ask?
Great question, and the answer is that for us, right now, it is far more useful.
O’s nanny is Brazilian, and my associate at work is as well. That is two people I speak to 4-5 times a week who would really appreciate it if I just learned a little bit of their native tongue. Plus in September, we are going to Portugal for a friend’s wedding, so a touch of immersion.
I think I will put together a little project to help me get there, I’ll share it later this week.
