Embarrasing

I have joined a Fantasy Premier League tournament, where I am competing against a singular opponent. Despite him being a friend, a former co-founder, and most importantly, a subscriber, he now ranks as a mortal enemy for the next 38 weeks as the season unfolds.

All fantasy sporting leagues require an enormous amount of shit talk, and when it is tête-à-tête, it rises another level. I got off to a bad start, and ended up making some costly errors. Not assigning a captain (which grants you double points) and selecting players who ended up stuck on the bench (leaving with you a big fat 0) is a terrible strategy, and my opponent, gleefully taunted me over WhatsApp. In fact, he even went so far as to offer me advice mid-round he thought so poorly of my performace.

Well, scores were confirmed yesterday, and your boy, MASSIVE WIN TODAY, ended up with the chocolates.

As for my opponent, all I can say is one word: embarrassing.
