Listening to the ABC

While driving to the airport to pick up my wife, I took the opportunity to listen to 774 ABC. For my American readers, the ABC is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the local equivalent to the BBC.

This morning, the topic was the recent controversy of last night’s AFL game. Plenty of view points were thrown around, from ex players, coaches, and commentators. As always, the best comments come in from callers. While not always the most unbiased, they’re certainly not lacking in passion.

I’ve always been a fan of the ABC. It’s certainly had its criticisms over the years, some of which are fairly assigned. I’m not a nostalgic person, but it was certainly nice to tune back into local radio, even if only for 30 minutes.
