One of the nice things about working at home is the flexibility it offers. While sometimes I think it could be nice to be in a more social environ from time to time, there are also days like today.
Around 11:30, I closed my laptop and had a lunch date with my daughter at the local Indian restaurant. Curry Grill isn’t going to win any awards, but it is cheap, cheerful, and importantly, safe. O and I had a grand time munch on the garlic naan and chicken korma, looking at the funny pictures and admiring the subcontinental features.
A gut full of carbs and curry meant that this afternoon’s productivity wasn’t exactly stellar. Oh well, there is always tomorrow for work, but perhaps I won’t always be able to take my daughter out for lunch on a cheeky Thursday.
Worth it.
