  • Blog Post #41: WM Phoenix Open

Yesterday I attended the Waste Management Phoenix Open; certainly not the most prestigious golf tournament, but definitely the most rowdy. Many people call it the Happy Gilmore Open, and for obvious reasons. The event is less filled with demure older gentleman, but fully tanked frat boys dressed up as Vikings. All the action centers around…

  • Blog Post #40: About last night

Last night I wrote my shortest, and indisputably worst, blog post. The reason was simple, I left it to the absolute last moment, and had just finished up an evening at the open bar. If you opened yesterday’s email expecting something great, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I’m glad I was able to keep…

  • Blog post #39: Phoenix

I’m in Phoenix right now. Not what you would expect

  • Blog Post #38: The run

After shaking off a nasty back injury and an awful bout of the flu, I went for my first run in a month. It was slow, cold, and gave me a slight chafe, but I got it in. I’m backing it up by bringing my runners to Phoenix tomorrow for round 2. I have a…

  • Blog Post #37: Big Day

Today was a big day work-wise, in fact, the biggest for some time. Since the alarm went off at 6:30, to while I write this in bed at 9, it’s been go, go, go. Most of today was spent building a proposal for potentially a new opportunity, which is very exciting. It was about 10…

  • Blog Post #36: Fresh Start

After a month featuring five flights, three weddings, one back injury, and one nasty bout of Covid, it felt good this morning to wake up, go for a walk in the beautiful sunshine, have a coffee, and get stuck into Monday. While there are going to be a few bug bears this week (flights to…

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
