  • Engaged

I have been sitting on this post for a while, mostly because I didn’t want to let the cat out of the bag. But after two weeks have passed, I am thrilled to announce that my younger sister, Victoria, recently became engaged to her partner, Jim. I’m thrilled, as are they. The two of them…

  • Threading the needle

We’re in the market for a car at the moment, and like many of life’s bigger purchases, this one is a doozy. There’s multiple factors involved: price is a big one, but finding one which is safe, well maintained, with Apple CarPlay and resilient in the colder months adds complexity. We have decent credit scores,…

  • Dress for less

Today Ky and I went to a store called Ross’, where their motto is “dress for less”. They weren’t joking. I’m not entirely sure what their business model is, but imagine a large warehouse filled with clothes, all new, and all from different brands. Now imagine that they were all 90% off RRP. That’s a…

  • Gun City

Today we took our friends to Gun City, the safest store in Denver. Their words, not mine. Going to a firearm store is an interesting experience. Not everyone is a fan, and that’s fine. Personally, I think they’re kinda crack up. This was my second time to Gun City, so I knew what to expect,…

  • Mousetrap

We have friends in town, and after happy hour, a catching up, and a BBQ, we ended up playing a game of Mousetrap. If you haven’t played it before, it’s a board game where players make an elaborate mousetrap out of various parts, and then the end game centers itself around using said trap to…

  • DNC

One of my favourite things about Americans is their love for pageantry. While it is fair to say that societally, they tilt to the practical in everyday life, they do enjoy a big bash every now again, where nothing is off limit. The crazy event in the calendar this week is the DNC, where Kamala…

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
