  • The lucky life

Ky and I spent a few hours in the hospital today as she required some tests. It wasn’t what we expected, and at one point there were a few concerns that her otherwise relatively straightforward pregnancy had been derailed. Fortunately, the tests came back and everything is a-ok. Happy mum, happy bub. Being in hospital…

I have joined a Fantasy Premier League tournament, where I am competing against a singular opponent. Despite him being a friend, a former co-founder, and most importantly, a subscriber, he now ranks as a mortal enemy for the next 38 weeks as the season unfolds. All fantasy sporting leagues require an enormous amount of shit…

  • The sixth sense

Our friends have let us borrow their car for the past week and a bit, and honestly, it has been like having a sixth sense. The increase in quality of life has been unmatched. Take this evening, where we went to our friends’ place for dinner. It’s a half an hour drive, next to nothing,…

  • Exertion

Writers note: a reader asked about what a meal train was, regarding a previous post of mine. A meal train is when a collection of people decide amongst themselves to cook and prepare meals for a person, although usually a group, who might need a bit of support. They are common after funerals and births,…

Ky and I were invited to a baby shower this afternoon in Denver. It was quite an honour, as I barely knew the couple, and Ky had only done a few walks with the mum to be. Nevertheless, she must have left an impression. After having my baby shower debut last week, so I kinda…

  • Meal train

Our friends recently gave birth to their first child, which is very exciting. To help them out, we joined their meal train. I’ve never been part of one before, but it’s such a great idea. It was our turn this evening, and we choose an oldie but a goodie, the lasagne. There is something about…

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
