  • Mr Bean

Ky and I watched a bit of Mr Bean tonight. It’s certainly a blast from the past, and truly has an ageless quality to it. No chance of the woke police cancelling this one! The craziest Mr Bean fact is how many episodes they have made. As a child growing up, I thought there were…

  • We don’t know how good we are

There have been a bunch of things that I think I am bad at which I have been working at for a while. There have, however, been a few examples recently where I surprised myself with my progress, simply by looking backwards. Take my French practice, par exemple. Due to the structure of the course…

  • OMAD

I had a friend (and a subscriber!) who used to eat only One Meal a Day, or OMAD as they call it in the community. Initially, I thought he was nuts. How on earth could he survive off just one meal, when I was getting rumbles around 11 after stuffing my damper hole only a…

  • Baby lessons

Today Ky and I went to pregnancy class at our local hospital to get a grip on what’s coming in [checks calendar] 10 weeks time. It was helpful in parts, and nice to be around a group of people in a similar boat. The couple on our table gave us serious Youth Pastor energies, and…

  • Are we on the brink?

Today was a fine day for me, but the world at large had a stinker. The markets took a massive haircut, with the usual chicken littles screaming about a financial armegeddon. I’m not so sure, but it doesn’t fill one with confidence. What does freak me out is less financial, and more political. As a…

  • Problems arisen

A friend and I are thinking about starting a side hustle together, and spent the afternoon scoping out the specs. We’re super excited about it, and have already found the exercise a great challenge. What’s interesting is that what we thought would be the biggest lift seems relatively straightforward, but the way we bill customers…

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
