  • The Hot Seat

I have been meaning to write this post for a while, or at least since Sunday, where I watched the replay of the Boat Race on TV. Spoiler Alert: Oxford, despite being favourites in both the men’s AND women’s, lost to the Tabs. This piece is going to be less about the race, but more…

  • Suno

I know, a single day doesn’t go by when you don’t hear a “there is an AI for that”. Some of these new tools are gimmicks, some are incredibly useful, and most are somewhere in between. I wanted to share Suno, an on-demand song creator. Chat-GPT has been able to make lyrics to some time,…

  • Extending

As the weather warms up, I’ve decided to get more into running. My wife bought me some new runners last month, and it’s been good to get out of the house and get some steps in. Usually I go for about 5kms, but today, I decided to crank it up a notch and go for…

  • New Design

You may have noticed that this email arrived slightly differently today. First off, I have dropped the title count. It was very motivating at the start, as I aimed to hit 10, 20, 50 days in a row. Now, it feels like a vanity project, and it can go the way of the Dodo. I…

  • Blog Post #89: Easter Sunday

Happy Easter, wherever you are in the world! Christ is Risen! America, for all it’s reputation of religiosity, takes Easter surprisingly lightly. Good Friday and Easter Monday are non-events, and Easter Sunday is largely unremarkable for those not interested in church services or egg hunts. Regardless, despite being a non-believer, I think Easter is a…

  • Blog Post #88: Making Gravy

Everyone has a culinary nemesis. A certain dish that always wreaks havoc. The worst are the dishes that are largely considered “easy”. If you’ve ever struggled with an omelette or mashed potatoes, you know what I mean. For me, gravy has been my nemesis. I have no idea why, it’s just always been a #epicfail….

Why I started this blog

I don’t really use Social Media anymore; I’m too young for Facebook, too old for SnapChat, too normie for Discord and too boring for Instagram. While this buys me back time and peace of mind, it means that it can sometimes be difficult to share my life with my friends and family outside of phone calls and in-person meetups. As I live overseas, this can be a difficulty.

With this in mind, and inspired my friend Dan Cullum (check out his fantastic site HERE), I have started a daily blog. Not only will I be able to share my ideas, news, and stories to friends and family, but it serves as a time capsule as I move through life. In the future, I look forward to seeing how my views, opinions, and ideas change over time. At the very least, it is an exercise in discipline, and may be of interest to my descendants at some time in the future.

While I imagine most followers of this blog will be friends and family, all are welcome to subscribe. Feel free to email at harry@harrywetherall.com, I reply to every message, and would love to hear from you.
